Body language
Body language communicates 55% of the message you send. You can control it....

Hand gestures
Use hands to gesture what you mean: how
many, how big, etc. Not to touch face, play with
hair, tap, gesture wildly, fold arms, fiddle.

Fiddling with a pen
Fiddling with a pen is a no-no at the
podium, in a meeting, in a job interview, on TV.
A pen in hand is distracting, potentially dangerous.

On TV
On TV avoid all hand movement, fidgets. Gestures can say more than words and distract from what you are saying.

Sitting posture
Good sitting posture everywhere: sit back, sit tall, sit like you belong. Great for interviews and before standing up to speak.

Look confident
Feel confident everyday, everywhere. Root yourself like a tree. Feet less than a foot apart. Great image!

Facial expression
Make it APPROPRIATE. Your face should FIT your message. If it's funny, upbeat: smile. If it's sad: don't smile.

Eye contact
One-to-one look into a person's eyes, into their soul. People like it. Makes you appear confident.

4C's eye contact
Use this 4C's eye contact tip with an audience: Contact- Connect- Communicate- Continue on to someone else. Look 'em right in the eyes!

Get rid of fillers
To stop sounding stupid, get rid of fillers: "You know" - "Uhhh" - "Like" etc. How? PAUSE instead.
